On August 23, 2026, the Phulani Panchayat Auditorium in Majuli witnessed a monumental event as the revered Migang Prabhat Mili was honoured with the prestigious “MI TURGO TURYING AMAN” (Lifetime Achievement Award in Folk Culture).
Organised by the Majuli District Mising Bane Kébang (MBK) in collaboration with TMPK, MMK, and TMMK, this special meeting celebrated the uncrowned king of Mising society and a lifelong guardian of its language and culture.
