The 3rd Keynote Address – on “Strengthening Child-Centred Justice within the Framework of the POCSO Act” was held today as a part of the AssamPoliceSishuMitra initiative. ABKK Kamrupa, Guwahati, 7 July 2026: POCSO Act Elocution delivered by Mr. Justice Kalyan Rai Surana of the Gauhati High Court, the address, highlighted the critical roles & responsibilities of all stakeholders in ensuring a child-sensitive & coordinated response to victim children.
DGP AssamPolice , Sri Harmeet Singh, IPS emphasised that empathy, collaboration & open communication among all are essential for ensuring justice processes are reassuring, dignified, & child-centric.
The programme was attended by stakeholders from the Judiciary, Government Departments & Police.
