Karbi Anglong Strengthens Sanitation Infrastructure with New Waste Management Vehicles

A major step toward a cleaner and healthier Karbi Anglong! Today at Taralangso, Dr Tuliram Ronghang CEM KAAC cum MLA have been handed over new sanitation vehicles and equipment under the 15th Finance Commission. This will greatly boost our Taralangso, Karbi Anglong: In a significant step towards building a cleaner, greener, and healthier Karbi Anglong, the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) and MLA, Dr. Tuliram Ronghang, today handed over a fleet of new sanitation vehicles and waste management equipment at Taralangso.

The vehicles and equipment have been provided under the 15th Finance Commission to enhance solid waste management services across the autonomous region. The initiative is expected to improve sanitation infrastructure, ensure efficient waste collection and disposal, and provide better support to frontline sanitation workers who play a vital role in maintaining public hygiene.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ronghang emphasized the Council’s commitment to sustainable development and environmental conservation. He stated that strengthening sanitation infrastructure is essential for creating healthier communities and improving the quality of life for residents of Karbi Anglong.

The newly inducted vehicles and equipment will be deployed across various areas of the district to reinforce waste management operations and promote cleaner surroundings.

The initiative reflects the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council’s continued efforts to modernize civic infrastructure and foster a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future for the people of the region.
