Karbi Anglong District Govt Venture Schools Teachers Association submitted MoU to Assam Education Minister

The Assam Lutad, Dispur 8 July: Today, along with Dr Tuliram Ronghang CEM KAAC cum MLA fellow legislators from Karbi Anglong, he accompanied representatives of the Karbi Anglong District Government Venture (Non-Provincialized) School Teachers and Employees Association to submit a memorandum to the Education Minister of Assam, Dr Ranoj Pegu, regarding the provincialization of teachers and employees serving in Government Venture (Non-Provincialized) educational institutions across East and West Karbi Anglong.

The memorandum highlights several concerns arising from the provisions of the amended Education Act, 2025, particularly in the context of the unique circumstances of the Sixth Schedule areas. Among the issues raised were the need for greater flexibility in eligibility criteria, consideration of the educational realities of our hill districts, and inclusion of all deserving teachers and employees under the provincialization process.

Dr Tuliram Ronghang CEM of KAAC expresses concern sincerely thank the Education Minister for patiently hearing the delegation and giving a positive assurance that the issues raised would be examined with due consideration. MLA Tuliram Ronghang also appreciated the constructive approach of the representatives of the Association in presenting their concerns through democratic dialogue.
